The design of the house responds to the level changes between the street and the lakefront, utilizing a system of platforms that create a fluid layout for the public spaces on the ground floor. The existing property boundaries are transformed into opportunities for visual termination strategies, achieved through the use of exposed concrete blocks. The materiality and structure of the house enable large spans, eliminating the need for intermediate supports in the kitchen, living room, and dining area, thus creating an open-plan space with direct views of the lake. The upper floor accommodates the private areas of the home. Located in a rural area on the outskirts of San Miguel, the house's balconies and rooftops serve as contemplative spaces that alter the facade in response to daily activities.
